It would be unrealistic to teach all techniques and possibilities of
data management and R visualisation for coral reef
monitoring in an introductory training course. In addition, there are a
number of more comprehensive, authoritative primary sources for
R and git training available on-line.
Our approach for this course was to focus on the key compentencies for managing coral reef monitoring data aligning to the GCRMN standards. To supplement the training materials in this introductory course, we wanted to provide links to additional training resources.
Below is a preliminary list of on-line references that we found useful during the original WIO data training course from 2021. Additional sites will be added to provide supplementary and reference material that course participants may find useful.
